On behalf of the Lucas Nagel family, Caroline County Public Schools, and Channel Marker, we would like to thank our community for allowing us to present Kevin Hines and his powerful talk, “The Kevin Hines Story”. Kevin was touched by the Nagel family’s story and their brave journey to healing. This event is just one of the steps to help bring our community together through meaningful conversations about suicide awareness, prevention, and education. Story telling saves lives. Start the conversation, ask someone if they are ok?
The Lucas Nagel Memorial Fund for First Responders support programs that provide trauma and mental health support to Caroline County veterans, first responders, and their families. The fund—established in January 2023 by Lucas’s family in loving tribute to his memory and his years of service in the U.S. Army and Caroline County Sheriff’s Office—can help provide a much-needed lifeline to first responders in times of crisis.
